Cross Country

Cross country placed tenth at the NCAA Division III New England Regional on Saturday. Randelle Boots ’13 earned All-Region honors, Wellesley’s first since 2005. Boots finished with a time of 22:21 and placed 19th out of 315 runners, qualifying for the NCAA National Championships. Boots, Claire Cummings ’13, Clare Egan ’10, Eliza Tibbits ’11 and Camille Basurto ’13 finished in the top 100. Cailey Stevens ’12 placed 117th while Evelyn Haro ’13 placed 163rd.

Field Hockey

Three players, Callie Lekas ’10, Katie Frett ’11 and Kate Cushing ’11 earned NEWMAC All-Conference honors in the field hockey postseason awards. Forward Lekas earned her third consecutive appearance on the First-Team All-Conference while fellow forward Frett earned her first first-team honors. Midfielder Cushing received her first All-Conference appearance and was named to the second team. Whitney Reid ’12 was one of the thirteen Wellesley fall athletes to earn NEWMAC All-Academic honors.

Soccer

For the soccer postseason awards, Head Coach Tony Mohammed was named Coach of the Year for the first time. In his third year on campus, Coach Mohammed led the team to a tie for the NEWMAC regular-season title, Blue soccer’s first since 1997. Outside-midfielder Chelsea-Ann Patry ’13 and center-midfielder Megan Turchi ’13 both earned All-Conference team honors. Catherine Caruso ’10, Jennie Krasker ’11, Sarah Gray ’12 and Meredith Roy ’12 earned NEWMAC All-Academic honors.

Squash

Squash lost to Northeastern University 6-3 at Dana Hall on Friday. The three wins for the team came from the seventh, eighth and ninth position players: Lindsay Rico ’13, Lauren Dow ’10 and Margot Sulmont ’13. Northeastern swept the games for the first to sixth positions. The team’s record for the season currently stands at 0-2.

Swimming

Swimming and Diving defeated Roger Williams University 153-89 but lost to Clark University 137.5-105.5 Saturday in a dual meet at Kneller Pool. The three leading swimmers for the Blue were Savanna Johnson ’10, Katherine Foley ’12 and Carolyn Jackson ’13, who each earned an individual as well as a relay win.

Volleyball

After a 3-1 victory over Clarkson University Thursday, the Blue advanced to the second round of the NCAA Regional tournament where the team faced Tufts University on Friday. Tufts swept the Blue and went on to compete against Williams College and capture this year’s NCAA Regional title. Wellesley finished the season with a 24-10 record. Elizabeth Campbell
