Flag football rocks tailgate, seniors emerge victorious

Saturday dawned with pouring rain, but that didn’t stop the Powderpuff Football Tournament from rocking Tailgate this past weekend. Free food, music, and some dedicated cheerleaders added to the air of festivity. Teams arrived in class colors, and in some instances face paint, ready to play. The competition was intense. Round one pitted seniors against sophomores and juniors againt first-years. After two halves of play, the seniors defeated the sophomores by one touchdown while the juniors outscored the first-years to move on to the next round. In the championship game, the seniors maintained their winning streak, defeating the juniors to claim both a trophy and bragging rights. The first-years won the consolation game.
